Searching

I’m searching for an enlightened sense of intuition
The kind I don’t have to mention
The inner voice that originates from above
I mean coming from a supreme love
I know my journey up Mystic Mountain
Is leading me to the everlasting fountain
Of love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness
Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
Self-control
Fruits of the Spirit to feed my soul
So I just gotta hold — on
Strong and steadfast
Quieting my thoughts
Listening for the everlast–
Ting peace
The love that never cease
The place I find when I finally release
All my doubts, frustrations and fear
I know if I listen close I can hear
It in the distance
Pass the white noise of this existence
I just must remain consistent
True to myself and my beliefs
Then the summit I will have reached

  1. Your poem sounded spiritual to me. It’s like finding a purpose in life, or searching for inner peace, or the serenity that can be found by resting in God’s love. 🙂 The words you chose for the poem are beautiful. Keep it up 🙂

  2. Wonderful, Marlee. I love the line “pass the white noise of this existence”. There is a lot of “white noise” out there that can threaten to pull us off our paths. I can feel your heart’s desire in this one–beautiful.
