Peace In The Mother Land

“Well I dislike war–period, you know. So therefore, as far as I’m concerned it should stop; it should have been stopped, and any other war. Now as far as to say, to understand the issues behind it; I don’t understand the issues behind it well enough to tell you just how this can be brought about. But I only know that this should stop.” -John Coltrane

Peace in the Mother Land

Peace from the mountaintops

To the wave drenched sands

Peace is where I stand

War is for the evil and the greedy

Those seeking power and control

Willing to oppress the needy

Through mandated treaties

Anyone standing up for peace

And educating the masses

Demanding for the evil to cease

Has my support at least

Wickedness is ruling uncontrolled

In these last days we must

Speak truth and stand bold

Praying others will grab a hold

Standing together for good

Not trading evil for evil

But in love as we should

Moving toward being understood

Exposing the daily atrocities

Taking place in the world

Bring awareness beyond curiosity

And a solution other than democracy

Peace is where I stand

Peace from the mountaintop

To the wave drenched sands

Peace in the Mother Land

Let us move in love

Let love guide our steps

And pour from our hearts

Let us give of what we have for those in need

And never think of profit or greed

Let us provide those basic needs of life

And remove ourselves from excess without thinking twice

Let us end hunger and homelessness across the globe

Let us activate our entire frontal lobe

And tap into our empathic centers of

Understanding, compassion and love

Remembering we are all made from one

All created equal under one sun

So lets us move in love toward perfection

Becoming God’s divine creation

Living a life of love is excellence

For love is God, in all His blessedness

So stand up for right in the name of love

And acquire all of our strength from above

Peace in the Mother Land

Peace from the mountaintops

To the wave drenched sands

Peace is where I stand
